PENN HILLS, Pa. (Next Stamina) — Two people were transported to a hospital following a shooting early Monday morning on Jefferson Road.

Allegheny County dispatchers stated the incident occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m., CBS Pittsburgh reported.

The medical conditions of the two individuals taken to the hospital have not been released.

Officials have not stated what events preceded the gunfire.

It remains unclear if any suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
