NIPOMO, Calif. (Next Stamina) — San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a family disturbance in the 700 block of Hill Street on April 19, where an officer-involved shooting took place.

According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred shortly after deputies arrived at the scene.

Sheriff’s detectives are currently at the location. Officials said the scene has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The department has not released information regarding injuries or the identity of those involved.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
