Police are searching for multiple suspects following a Friday night shooting in Los Angeles’ Hyde Park neighborhood that left two men dead and another injured.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 59th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard at approximately 7:45 p.m. on July 3, 2026, KTLA reported.

Hyde Park is a historic neighborhood in South Los Angeles, known for its African American heritage and diverse community.

The area features a vibrant commercial corridor along Crenshaw Boulevard, which is home to many Black-owned businesses and cultural sites like Destination Crenshaw, according the Wikipedia,

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 60-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

A third victim, a 54-year-old man, was also hospitalized and is currently listed in stable condition.

An LAPD spokesperson confirmed the immediate findings of the responding officers.

“When officers arrived on scene, they found three gunshot wound victims,” the spokesperson said.

Providing further details on the assault, the LAPD spokesperson described the suspects’ actions.

“Witnesses reported two to three Black males approached the victims in a vehicle and fired multiple gunshots, striking all three victims,” the spokesperson said.

The suspects remain at large, and authorities have not confirmed if the shooting was gang-related.
