Two dead in Orangevale, California mobile home park shooting, suspect arrested

North Patrol deputies located one victim deceased at the scene and a second victim who later died at a hospital following a shooting in the 6100 block of Main Avenue. Authorities have one suspect detained and stated they do not believe any other individuals are outstanding.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reported that deputies were dispatched to a mobile home park around noon. According to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, the initial call reported one shooting victim, but deputies were notified of a second victim while en route to the location, CBS Sacramento reported.

Callers told dispatchers the suspected gunman lived at the location and had returned to his trailer. Upon arrival, deputies began searching for victims and coordinating a response to the barricaded area.

A BearCat armored vehicle from the Folsom Police Department was utilized to safely approach the suspect’s trailer. Using the armored vehicle, deputies and assisting officers extracted two victims from the scene, Fox40 reported.
