Milan Lead Race to Add Potential Real Madrid Outcast

Several teams are lining up to chase Endrick if Real Madrid put him on the market in January, as they did last year when he moved to Olympique Lyonnais, but Milan believe they’d have the upper hand for a couple of reasons, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Their owner, Gerry Cardinale, has deep ties with the agency that represents him, Roc Nation. The player has already indicated that he’d be keen on the move. His camp couldn’t convince Les Merengues to sign off on his departure in the summer, but it’ll try again in the winter. He has played more with the national team in the friendlies than with his club thus far.

Milan would eventually have to battle Roma and Aston Villa for Endrick. Their only left-footed attacker is Omari Hutchison, who joined on loan with a very high option to buy, and hasn’t gotten much run thus far. He’d be the top option on that side of the pitch and also deputize Gonçalo Ramos, since he has experience as a false nine.

At this stage, Real Madrid are contemplating only a temporary departure, should they elect to let the slippery forward go. However, the suitors will try to secure clauses to keep him longer, or even permanently. Los Galacticos wouldn’t be new to creative formulas, like those used in the Nico Paz deal with Como and the Brahim Diaz one with the Rossoneri.

Our Take on Milan and Endrick

They have to take a good look at Hutchinson before bringing in a player with similar characteristics. He surely makes more sense for them than for Roma, but a simple loan wouldn’t be very palatable.
