Two-vehicle collision in Wilmington, Los Angeles leaves one dead and two critically injured

A two-vehicle traffic accident at 2523 E. Anaheim St. resulted in one fatality and left two others in critical condition late Sunday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. and required specialized extrication efforts by responding firefighters.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, one victim was injured due to ejection while two others were trapped within a vehicle.

An approximately 40-year-old female was ejected from her vehicle during the collision. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Firefighters utilized specialized equipment to extricate two individuals trapped inside the vehicles.

A 35-year-old female was recovered from the site and transported to a local hospital, also in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed, the second trapped individual, whose age and gender have not yet been identified, was determined deceased at the scene.
