Atlanta Dream fans are already looking ahead to the WNBA Finals after their team swept the New York Liberty 3-0 to reach the championship series for the first time since 2013.

The Dream held on for an 85-83 victory at Barclays Center on Friday night as Angel Reese scored 22 points and Jordin Canada added 19 points and 11 assists.

Atlanta will now face the winner of the Las Vegas Aces and Golden State Valkyries series in the Finals. The Dream have also won 10 straight games heading into the championship round.

Atlanta Dream fans are already demanding a championship

There was plenty of excitement among Dream supporters following the historic victory with several fans already calling for the franchise to finish the job.

One supporter wrote: “Give us the ring already.” Another added: “Ring us already, no one even comes close to us.”

The confidence was balanced by one fan who reminded the team that there is still work to do: “Job isn’t finished. One more series to go!”

Another supporter was already looking ahead to the four wins needed for the championship: “Four more wins, Dream. Please keep that aggressiveness and get that ring.”

The team effort was also praised after Atlanta held off a late Liberty push.

“Yes, great team win. Everyone did their job and played a part. So proud of you all. Way to stick together and bring it home. Clutch free throws by DB, huge three from JC,” one fan wrote.

Another supporter shared the same excitement: “So proud of this incredible team! Y’all fought so hard to get here, and now it’s time to bring that championship home!”

Reese also received plenty of praise after another huge playoff performance, with one fan noting: “Angel Reese has never lost a WNBA playoff game in her life.”

Another supporter went even further with their celebration: “State Farm Arena belongs to the Dream from now on.”

Atlanta now has a chance to end the franchise’s wait for its first WNBA championship when the Finals begin on October 17.
