The Denver Broncos will be missing three key players when they face the Los Angeles Chargers on the road in Week 5.
The Broncos have ruled out starting cornerbacks Pat Surtain (ankle) and cornerback Riley Moss (ribs) ahead of Sunday’s game. Additionally, Denver placed wide receiver Pat Bryant (ankle) on injured reserve, ruling him out for at least the next four games.
Elsewhere on the injury front, outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman (hamstring) and tight end Adam Trautman (shoulder) have been cleared to play after being limited earlier in the week.
With Surtain and Moss sidelined, the Broncos will likely turn to Jahdae Barron and Kris Abrams-Draine as the next men up at the outside cornerback spots. Ja’Quan McMillian is expected to continue playing in the slot. Denver could also elevate one or both of Brent Austin and Sean Fresch from the practice squad to the game-day roster for more depth.
On offense, Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims could be in line for more work with Bryant sidelined.
