Ravens rule out 3 Pro Bowlers for SNF matchup vs. Falcons

The Baltimore Ravens have ruled out Lamar Jackson for Sunday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a sprained ankle, but they have a few other injuries besides the one to their two-time MVP quarterback.

On Friday, the Ravens also ruled out new starting center Cam Jurgens (concussion) and defensive end Trey Hendrickson (finger) for Week 5. Jugens, a two-time Pro Bowler, was acquired by Baltimore earlier this week in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Ravens sent two picks, including a 2028 second-round selection, to the Eagles for Jurgens with the hopes of solidifying the center position. Former Falcons offensive lineman Jovaughn Gwyn won the starting center job out of training camp but was recently placed on the injured reserve list.

Hendrickson signed with the Ravens as a free agent after they backed out of their trade for Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.

The 31-year-old began his career with the New Orleans Saints and took his game to another level upon signing the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021. Over 10 NFL seasons, Hendrickson has recorded 82 sacks, 166 QB hits and 75 tackles for loss.

Last but not least, Jackson is easily the biggest loss for Baltimore. The four-time Pro Bowl QB has passed for six touchdowns and just one interception this season. Without Jackson, Tyler Huntley will get the start against the Falcons on Sunday night.
