Packers going back to green and gold for iconic uniform matchup with Cowboys

The Green Bay Packers will go back to the green and gold uniform when they host the Dallas Cowboys in an iconic uniform matchup in primetime in Week 6.

The Packers, who debuted their new “Rivalries” alternate uniforms at Lambeau Field with a blowout win over the Chicago Bears last week, will wear their gold helmets, green jerseys and gold pants against the visiting Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football” this week.

This will be the fourth time the Packers have worn their “Vintage green” primary home uniform this season, but only the second time at home. Previously, the Packers wore their primary home uniforms on the road against the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both wins. But Matt LaFleur’s team also lost the home opener in primetime to the Atlanta Falcons, so the Packers will be looking for their first win in their primary home uniforms at Lambeau Field in 2026.

On the road, the Cowboys are expected to wear white jersey tops and silver pants. In fact, “Primary White” is listed as the pick for Week 6 on the team’s official uniform schedule. However, it’s unclear which helmet the Cowboys will wear this week; they have a primary silver helmet that pairs with their primary white jersey, but practice photos from this week show players wearing their white alternate helmet, which pairs with an alternate uniform. This post will be updated when more is known on the Cowboys uniform selection.

Regardless of location, the uniform matchup between the Packers and Cowboys continues to be one of the NFL’s best. The Cowboys traditionally wear white uniforms at home, so most matchups between the Packers and Cowboys have, historically, been the Packers in green tops and the Cowboys in white, for games both in Green Bay and North Texas.
