“Now, it’s about the next game. For us, these are the best moments you can experience in your career, when games like these are coming up.
“It’s always the same during this period. Two years ago, we had Barcelona; last year, it was Arsenal and PSG.
It’s always in October and November that the intensity is very high. That’s nothing new,” Kompany explained carefully.
On Saturday’s topspiel encounter itself, Kompany exclaimed that his side “want to go all out” to defeat RB Leipzig.
“We’re playing at home, and we’re hungry. We know Leipzig’s strengths. You can see that they’ve made a few changes, which have been good.
“They come into this game full of confidence. We’ve had 50 shots on goal in our last two games and done a lot of things well as a team.
“If we improve a few things, we won’t be far off our very best version. That gives us fire, and we know we can do it,” he concluded.
