SAN JOSE, Calif. (Next Stamina) — The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Task Force is seeking public assistance to locate 31-year-old David Huerta.
Huerta is wanted on suspicion of sexual battery and failing to register as a sex offender, according to a statement released Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said Huerta was last seen in San Jose.
Huerta is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 286 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities confirmed Huerta has a prior conviction for sexual battery.
Detectives urge anyone with information regarding Huerta’s whereabouts to contact the SAFE Task Force at 408-808-4300. Tips may also be submitted via email to [email protected].
The Sheriff’s Office directed residents to the California Megan’s Law website at meganslaw.ca.gov to monitor registered sex offenders in their specific neighborhoods.
