Oregon Ducks wide receiver Dakorien Moore said Tuesday that the team needs a new mindset after a 17-15 home loss to the UCLA Bruins dropped Oregon to 3-2. The Ducks played without starting quarterback Dante Moore, and Oregon pulled Dylan Raiola during another rough day for the offense. The preseason No. 2 ranked team in the nation has now fallen out of the AP Top 25 poll and sits at 1-1 in Big Ten play.

247Sports’ Matt Prehm took to X, formerly Twitter, to share the sophomore’s message about the team’s approach.

“Oregon WR Dakorien Moore says that the team has been too ‘outcome-focused’ and needs to shift to being more ‘Process-focused’ to turn this season around.”

Speaking after practice in Eugene, Moore stressed accountability, ball security and communication as the offense installs new plays.

The loss to the Bruins showed why those areas matter. The Ducks turned the ball over seven times, converted just one third down and finished with 272 total yards. Moore still caught four passes for 77 yards.

Dante Moore missed the UCLA game after suffering a concussion against USC in Week 4. Dylan Raiola made his first start for the Ducks against the Bruins, completing six of 19 passes for 43 yards and throwing two interceptions before Brock Thomas replaced him.

Thomas provided a fourth-quarter spark, but the Ducks could not pull off a comeback at Autzen Stadium.

Moore said teammates are working to rebuild confidence and mutual trust, including supporting the quarterbacks. He also stressed clearer communication as the offense introduces a large volume of new plays.

The speedy pass-catcher has 18 receptions for 311 yards and four receiving touchdowns through five games. His comments followed Oregon’s second loss, with the Ducks previously falling at Oklahoma State.

Moore said the team began making changes Monday. The Ducks now turn their attention to Saturday’s Week 7 home matchup against Nebraska, with their preparation centered on ball security, accountability and communication after the Week 6 loss to UCLA.
