OPA-LOCKA, Fla. (Next Stamina) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning at a UGas station located at 14471 NW 27th Ave. Authorities confirmed that no individuals were struck by gunfire during the incident, and one suspect has been taken into custody.
Officers from the Opa-locka Police Department cordoned off the gas station with crime scene tape following the report. According to WSVN, investigators placed several evidence markers on the ground and were observed speaking to potential witnesses near the convenience store.
The scene remained blocked off for a period of time as the investigation proceeded. According to Local 10, the police department has detained one individual in connection with the shooting.
No other details regarding the identity of the suspect or the circumstances leading up to the gunfire were immediately released.
