SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Next Stamina) — Two people were shot Sunday night following a large fight at the Santa Monica Pier. The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) said that officers responded to the pier at approximately 9 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

According to the SMPD, a large physical altercation involving several individuals occurred immediately before the shooting, KABC reported. Two people sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. Police described the injuries as non-life-threatening.

Both victims received medical assistance at the scene from responding officers and emergency personnel before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
