Series dates back to 1903
Colorado won the first meeting, 22-0, on Oct. 3, 1903, in Salt Lake City. The two programs were frequent opponents for decades in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference before later sharing the Pac-12 and now the Big 12.
Colorado holds an 18-14-1 home record against Utah. The Buffaloes’ largest win in the series was a 54-0 win in 1951, while Utah’s 53-7 win last season remains its largest margin against Colorado.
Saturday gives Colorado a chance to narrow Utah’s recent advantage in a series that has been part of the region’s college football history for more than a century.
