The Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams weren’t finished when overtime ended.

Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson punched Bills outside linebacker Bradley Chubb near midfield after Buffalo’s 37-34 victory Monday night at SoFi Stadium.

ESPN cameras captured the confrontation during the network’s postgame show.

Jackson was exchanging jerseys with Bills defensive lineman Deone Walker when Chubb, standing about 15 feet away, gestured toward Jackson and said something to him.

Jackson noticed Chubb, walked toward him and the two came face-to-face near the Rams logo at midfield.

Chubb made another hand gesture near Jackson’s face before Jackson struck him on the right side of the face with his right hand. The blow knocked Chubb’s hat off.

Rams tight end Colby Parkinson and Walker immediately stepped between them and moved Jackson away before the confrontation escalated.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen was conducting a television interview with ESPN Deportes’ John Sutcliffe about 10 feet away while the altercation unfolded.

Chubb downplayed the incident to reporters.

“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game. It was a close game,” Chubb said. “And, you know, they always catch the second guy. So, I let him swing. And then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”

Chubb wouldn’t identify Jackson when asked about the punch.

“Somebody swung, but hey, that’s not on me to tell who,” Chubb said. “There’s cameras out there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m just ready for next week.”

Asked whether the punch connected, Chubb again declined to get into it.

“I’m just ready for next week,” Chubb said. “You see, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. … I’ll be ready for next week.”

Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson also weighed in on X after the game, writing, “So what we gone do about dude hitting Chub!” The post was later deleted.

Jackson also has prior legal and disciplinary history. He was arrested in June on suspicion of felony domestic violence after an incident at his home in California. He also was sued in 2025 by a woman who alleged he recorded sexual acts without her consent, and he served a two-game NFL suspension in 2024 for an undisclosed violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.

The NFL had not announced any discipline stemming from Monday night’s incident as of Tuesday morning.
