Chicago police sergeant survives Pullman shooting while driving a marked patrol car

CHICAGO, Ill. (Next Stamina) — An on-duty Chicago police sergeant is recovering after being shot while driving through the city’s Pullman neighborhood late Sunday night.
The latest: According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 11:11 p.m. in the 11200 block of South Corliss Avenue, CBS News reported.
- The sergeant, assigned to the Calumet (5th) District, was struck in the leg by a bullet while inside a marked patrol car.
- Following the shooting, the sergeant was able to drive themselves to a local hospital for medical treatment.
- Police confirmed the officer is currently listed in good condition.
