DALLAS – Oklahoma cornerback Eli Bowen landed on the Sooners’ injury report after twisting his ankle in a Thursday practice, and he’s listed as questionable on Saturday’s final availability report ahead of the game between Texas football and Oklahoma.
The loss of Bowen would add to the injury woes for Oklahoma, especially in a depleted secondary. Fellow cornerback Jacobe Johnson has been ruled out of Saturday’s game, which means Oklahoma will have to lean on inexperienced players such as Trystan Haynes and Dakoda Fields to cover Ryan Wingo, Cam Coleman and the other Texas receivers.

Saturday’s report listed seven Oklahoma players as out, including Johnson, linebacker Taylor Heim, running back Xavier Robinson, tight end Trynae Washington, wide receiver Trell Harris and offensive linemen Michael Fasusi and Fred Hinton.
Offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis remains doubtful while tight end Jack Van Dorselaer remains probable.
Four Texas reserves are listed on the final injury report. Wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, offensive lineman Jordan Coleman and defensive lineman Zion Williams have been ruled out, and defensive lineman Justus Terry remains questionable.
