Dalton entered the game for the Eagles while starting quarterback Jalen Hurts was in the medical tent. Philadelphia was in the red zone in the second quarter, trying to get their first points of the game. On Dalton’s only pass attempt for the Eagles, he threw an interception to rookie safety Dillon Thieneman.
After starting at quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2011 to 2019, Dalton has bounced around to different NFL teams. However, over the past four years, he has played only 14 games, with seven starts. He got his only win in those seven starts as the Carolina Panthers’ quarterback when Bryce Young was benched.
With Dalton turning 39 at the end of October and having played 180 games in his career, it is unclear whether another team will sign him or he’llplay in the NFL again. But with all the quarterback injuries across the league, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a team pick him up as insurance.
