After suffering its first conference loss in tough fashion, Prairie View A&M looks to rebound at home.
The Panthers (2-4, 2-1 SWAC) host Southern (2-4, 0-2) on Saturday. The Jaguars, coached by Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk, lost the past two games to Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Jackson State by a combined margin of 76-27.
Prairie View, which couldn’t hold leads of 24 and 17 points in last week’s loss at Mississippi Valley State, is 7-8 all-time against Southern. The Panthers won last year’s matchup 24-3 in Baton Rouge, La.
