The board at Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Villarreal. The Yellow Submarine star in the sights of the Blaugrana? Alberto Moleiro.
Versatile winger/attacking midfielder Moleiro is for his part fresh off a fine opening to the new campaign.
After an impressive debut season in Castellón, culminating in 10 goals and five assists, the 23-year-old has since followed up with a further five direct goal contributions in seven appearances.
And as alluded to above, this continued excellence on Moleiro’s part is now understood to have turned the heads of those in a position of power at one of La Liga’s very top clubs.
As per a report from Fichajes, citing Sports Illustrated:
‘Barcelona are monitoring the performance of Alberto Moleiro. A key player in Villarreal’s attack, the footballer has made it onto Barça’s list of potential signings for their long-term project.’
