The Oklahoma City Thunder opened their 2026-27 NBA preseason with a 116-110 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. After a strong first half with their B squad, they mostly pulled the plug at halftime. That led to an eventual 24-point blown lead.
Aday Mara had 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. He was awesome in his playing time. So was Bennett Stirtz. He had 15 points and six assists. Jared McCain also chipped in with 12 points and five assists.
Meanwhile, Zion Williamson was quiet with 11 points and four rebounds. Trey Murphy III also scored 11 points. Derek Queen had 10 points and nine rebounds. Bennedict Mathurin dropped 13 points off the bench.
