ESPN’s College GameDay has picked its next destination.
After hosting Saturday’s show at the University of Iowa ahead of the Hawkeyes’ matchup against Ohio State, the traveling show will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, next week as the Crimson Tide host the Georgia Bulldogs in a battle of SEC powerhouses.

Notably the game will be a homecoming for former Alabama coach Nick Saban, who is now an analyst on the GameDay desk.
It will be Alabama’s 65th appearance all-time on GameDay, and the 21st time the school has hosted, both good for second all-time behind Ohio State. The Crimson Tide have hosted GameDay at Tuscaloosa at least once in all but one season since 2012, and in 2012, they were technically still the home team for GameDay, but at the season’s opener played at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
Last year, Alabama hosted GameDay in the first week of October ahead of a matchup against No. 16 Vanderbilt. The Tide went on to win 30–14, and comedian and podcaster Theo Von served as the show’s guest picker. Other recent guest pickers at Alabama in recent years include Saban’s wife Miss Terry, Hall of Famer Joe Namath, musician Zac Brown, and star NFL running back Derrick Henry.
With Alabama taking down No. 16 Mississippi State 56–23 this weekend and Georgia cruising to a 38–14 win over Vanderbilt, both sides will enter the contest 5–0 on the season, with the winner taking pole position in the race to win the SEC.
