Michigan State football has lost there third consecutive game, and after a stellar 2-0 start to the Pat Fitzgerald era, the Spartans now sit at 2-3 and 0-2 in Big Ten action.
Following the game, Fitzgerald spoke to the media about the abysmal game from the Spartans, sharing his displeasure with his teams performance. See what he had to say:
“Not acceptable at all. Incredibly disappointing. We were 1-for on fourth down. Didn’t win any one-on-one battles.” Said eyes were bad on the edges, too many one-on-ones. “Lot of work to do. They beat us up pretty good physically.”
“Third and Fourth down, we weren’t good enough. We win at receiver, we lose at OL, and vise-versa.”
“Tried to make a change up in the second half. Kayd (Coffman) came in and got a couple series, unfortunately from Cam not being able to play.”
“The attitude right now is they’re mad. They’re mad at themselves, we’re mad at ourselves as coaches.”
“We’re trying to get everyone on the roster ready to play.”
“We had zero awareness.”
“We got our ass kicked. We got to coach the guys better. Period.”
“He’s (Alessio Milivojevic) a tough s-o-b, man. He’s a tough guy. We have to help him, keep getting the ball out of his hands. We have to help him as coaches.”
