He explicitly stated that his “favourite” Real Madrid player is Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan international has become a cornerstone of Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical setup, known for his relentless energy, versatility, and technical prowess across the midfield.
Mastantuono’s praise for Valverde suggests that he identifies with the dynamic, box-to-box style that the Uruguayan provides at the Santiago Bernabéu. This public acknowledgement comes at a time when Real Madrid is actively scouting South American talent to bolster their long-term project.
The teenager, who has been making waves with his performances, is viewed as one of the most promising prospects in world football. His ability to control the tempo of a match and his maturity on the ball have drawn comparisons to established stars, though he remains focused on his immediate development.
