Fans are calling out a double standard after resurfaced footage showed Las Vegas Aces players pointing and laughing at Caitlin Clark.
The playoff series between Las Vegas and Indiana has been pure chaos both on and off the floor. Las Vegas took Game 1 in dominant fashion, but Indiana bounced back in Game 2 to tie things up.
The real talking point, though, has been the drama off the ball. A’ja Wilson sparked a huge mess when she confronted a fan in the stands, receiving only a technical instead of an ejection.
On top of that, fans are calling out a massive double standard after clips resurfaced of Aces players laughing at Caitlin Clark in Game 1 of the series.
Las Vegas Aces players point at Caitlin Clark
In the middle of a rough Game 1 stretch, Indiana lost a coach’s challenge, which led to Caitlin Clark walking towards her bench looking thoroughly annoyed.
Over on the Las Vegas bench, A’ja Wilson can be seen stood in the background, while Kierstan Bell can be seen mouthing and laughing at Clark and another points towards her.
However, it’s important to note that it does look like Clark mouths something to the Aces bench or the crowd prior to their reaction.
It was peak trash talk, but now that clip is blowing up as fans call out the obvious double standard, with A’ja Wilson going off on a Fever fan for pointing at her.
One fan praised Clark’s toughness: “The difference is, Caitlin isn’t soft.”
“The WNBA is full of hypocrites.” Another pointed out.
This supporter made the double standards point: “Double standard, right? They got mad when others did the same thing they did earlier.”
“No wonder why she went scorched earth yesterday lol.” Said one fan on her Game 2 display.
A final fan said: “None of the A’ja supporters will talk about this, though.”
