The Jacksonville Jaguars officially unveiled their new “Bold City” alternate uniforms on Wednesday, introducing a fresh aesthetic that honors the team’s local community. The organization announced that the new jerseys incorporate “big cat details” while paying tribute to the various neighborhoods that make up the city of Jacksonville.
This design shift represents a significant update for the franchise as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season. The uniforms feature a distinct color palette and intricate patterns designed to reflect the fierce nature of the jaguar mascot. Team officials emphasized that the inspiration for this look was drawn directly from the local culture and the loyal fan base that supports the team throughout the year.
The jerseys are primarily black, accented with gold and white trim, which highlights the team’s traditional branding while offering a modern, sleek appearance. Designers included subtle textures on the numbers and sleeves that mimic the markings of a jaguar, providing a tactile element to the new apparel. These details were intentionally chosen to resonate with the “Bold City” moniker often used to describe Jacksonville.
Players and staff expressed enthusiasm regarding the change, noting that the new uniforms provide a strong identity for the team on the field. The organization believes that these alternates will be a hit among supporters and will help foster a deeper connection between the team and the city. The Jaguars intend to wear these specific uniforms during select games throughout the season to showcase the design to the public.
Merchandise featuring the new “Bold City” branding is expected to be available for purchase at the stadium and through official online retail channels starting later this week. The team has not yet specified which games will feature the debut of the new uniforms, but they confirmed that the schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans are encouraged to follow the team’s official social media channels for updates regarding the full uniform rotation and future promotional events tied to the launch of this gear.
