The Jacksonville Jaguars have plenty of depth at receiver, but not every wideout is having an impactful fantasy football season.

Before the season began, much of the fantasy football focus centered on wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., especially given his rookie-season output. Meanwhile, fourth-year wideout Parker Washington entered the year with considerably lower expectations.

However, through five games, Washington is emerging as a more productive fantasy option.

DEFENSIVE ENIGMA: Jaguars pass defense defies numbers. Can it contain C.J. Stroud?

Each Friday until the fantasy football playoffs are over, Fantasy Football Fridays will examine the biggest fantasy football storylines surrounding Jacksonville, from player trends to favorable matchups to lineup decisions and potential breakout performers.

This week, we’re looking at three Jaguars receivers to start, sit, or stash ahead of the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Houston Texans in London. The game will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Start: Parker Washington

Washington, drafted in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has quickly become Jacksonville’s go-to receiver over the past five games.

Washington has caught 22 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. His yards-per-target ranks second on the team at 10.1 (Jakobi Meyers, 11.2). Washington leads the team in EPA (Expected Points Added) at 21.0.

Against Houston, Washington will likely face all of the team’s top defensive backs as a versatile option lining out wide, in the slot, or occasionally in the backfield. Houston’s corners, including All-Pro CB Derek Stingley, do not follow the opposition’s top target.

Washington is nearing must-start status as he rises the charts. He’s currently WR No. 9 in PPR (points per reception) leagues.

Sit: Brian Thomas Jr.

Thomas’ talent is unquestioned, but his consistency has been a sore spot.

Through five games, Thomas has just nine catches for 105 yards and one touchdown. Pro Football Reference credits him with one drop in Week 2, but he’s also bungled multiple opportunities, including one last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, when the third-year wideout couldn’t get both feet down in the end zone.

Squarely behind Washington, Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brenton Strange in the target-share department. In PPR leagues, Thomas is viewed as WR No. 83. It’s probably best to sit Thomas until he shows he’s a consistent option for Jacksonville.

Stash: Josh Cameron

Jaguars rookie Josh Cameron has been a bright spot thus far this season, as he’s had an immediate impact when given the opportunity and those opportunities could be increasing.

So far this season, Cameron has caught eight passes on 12 targets for 117 yards and two touchdowns. His explosiveness after the catch is what makes him an intriguing option in Jacksonville’s offense. All but two of his catches have gone for either a first down or a touchdown.

Cameron also serves as one of the team’s primary kick returners, so he will almost certainly play every week. Cameron is an intriguing stash option in deeper leagues.
