The 2026 IHSAA girls soccer postseason run has reached its end in the Lafayette area.
Three area teams advanced from the sectional round and competed in the regional semifinals Wednesday, Oct. 14. The group consisted of Covington (1A), Harrison (3A) and West Lafayette (2A), all of whom fell in their respective matchups. It’s the first time this decade that a Lafayette area team won’t be represented in a regional championship between any of the three classes.

3A: Hamilton Southeastern 8, Harrison 0
Coming off a 7-0 win over Lafayette Jeff in the sectional final, the Raiders were in for the toughest possible challenge in the regional semifinal.
The Royals (20-0), out of Fishers, are not only ranked as the top team in the state, but the No. 1 team in the entire country. That dominance was on full display, as Hamilton Southeastern jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first half. It marked its 9th game of the season scoring eight or more goals, and it has now outscored its opponents 115-4.
Coming up short against the defending state champions is certainly not a blunder for Harrison. It finishes the season with a 13-3-4 record and its third sectional title in the last four years.
2A: Culver Academies 4, West Lafayette 1
Picking up a big win over Benton Central in the semifinal en route to a sectional championship win over Frankfort, the Red Devils were strong coming into the regional. But the Eagles, ranked No. 46 overall in the state, got the better of them.
Audrey Kalb scored on a PK to help West Lafayette get back in the game from a 1-0 deficit after the first half, but Culver Academies (10-4-1) tagged on three more goals in the second half to lead them to victory.
The Red Devils finish the season 11-7-1 with their seventh sectional title win of the last eight seasons.

1A: Oak Hill 3, Covington 1
Although the Trojans were only down 2-1 at the half, another goal by the Golden Eagles (19-1) became too much to come back from.
It concludes an impressive 16-2-2 campaign for Covington. After wins over North White and DeMotte Christian, the Trojans captured their second sectional championship win, defeating Faith Christian 6-5 on penalty kicks.
With the majority of the team set to return next season, Covington will continuing be a major threat in the class.
