Dodgers’ Teoscar Hernandez sends message to team ahead of NLCS Game 3 against Brewers originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t had the luck against the Milwaukee Brewers they hoped for in the first two games of the NLCS, as they dropped both.
The Dodgers had chances to win both games, but the Brewers have beaten them at their own game. Milwaukee is a great team from top to bottom, with elite pitching, an above-average offense, and a defense that can make plays.
Often, Milwaukee isn’t a team that hurts itself.

There’s something to be said about that, as the Dodgers haven’t exactly been able to do the same.
As for what needs to change, the Dodgers need some of their stars to get going. Whether it’s a guy like Shohei Ohtani or anyone else, it’s clear things need to improve. Speaking to reporters about what has to happen, one Dodgers All-Star believes there are still plenty of series left, and it’s far from impossible.
“We know what we can do. We know the team that we have,” left fielder Teoscar Hernandez said, per The Athletic. “There is still a lot of series to go. We know right now they’re playing really good baseball. They’re going to be tough to beat. But it’s not impossible.”
Hernandez has been one of the bright spots for the Dodgers over the past two years now, playing well when it matters most.
He’s far from the biggest problem the Dodgers currently have, as he’s done about what everyone could ask of him offensively.
Now it’s time for him to step up as a leader and keep saying the right things about what his team can do over the next couple of days.
