Kyle Braithwaite, Bergen Catholic senior
The Crusader forward took control in a game between two of the top non-public teams in the state, striking for three goals and one assist in Saturday’s 5-3 victory over Christian Brothers.
Mathieu Brun, Demarest senior
Brun turned in another big week with three goals and three assists. The Norsemen went on to beat all three opponents, including Becton in the opening round of the Bergen County tournament.
Michael DaSilva, Lakeland senior
DaSilva powered the offense last week with six goals and four assists, leading the Lancers to three wins and a trip to the Passaic County semifinals. He recorded a hat trick in the quarterfinals when Lakeland knocked off Kennedy by a 5-3 score.
Lila Cahalan, Glen Rock sophomore
The Panthers goalie shut out Indian Hills in their Bergen County first-round matchup and guided her team to a 3-0 week. She posted 14 saves and allowed only one goal.
Isabella Hewitt, Hawthorne senior
Hewitt continued a magical comeback season on Saturday, scoring a hat trick as No. 8 seed Hawthorne downed No. 1 Lakeland, 3-0, in the Passaic County quarterfinals. She wound up with 10 goals in three Hawthorne wins and set the program record for goals in a season (now at 40).
Olivia Keenan, Wayne Hills senior
Keenan picked up two more shutouts last week, one against Passaic Valley in the regular season and another against Clifton in a 1-0 win in the Passaic County quarterfinals. In Wayne Hills’ other match, she totaled 10 saves in a 3-2 win over then-unbeaten Lakeland.
Bella Ricca, DePaul senior
The Manhattan commit fueled the offense with a season-high three goals against River Dell. She followed it up by scoring twice against Eastern Christian to give DePaul its fifth win in six games.
