The New York Jets picked up a much-needed victory in Week 5, defeating the Cleveland Browns 17-12. It was a dominant defensive performance by head coach Aaron Glenn’s squad. The offense also did enough to outlast the Browns.
Jets Wire identified three things we learned from a Jets victory that ended a three-game losing streak.

David Bailey’s breakout game
Concerns were mentioned about New York Jets rookie EDGE, David Bailey who entered this contest on a cold streak. Well, those concerns were firmly put to rest. Bailey produced a career-high three sacks, and added seven tackles, four QB hits, and three TFLs to his defensive totals. He was downright dominant.

Kenyon Sadiq flounders
Jets fans hoped to see rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq enjoy a bounce-back performance after his goose egg in Week 4. That did not happen for the former Oregon standout. Sadiq caught just two passes and lost a fumble inside the five-yard line. He stayed down and exited the game with a potential concussion. Brutal.
Inside the dominant defensive performance
The Jets won this game on defense. They limited the Browns’ offense to 198 yards, forced two turnovers, and eight punts. The Browns lost the time of possession battle and were 4-of-16 on third down (and 0-for-2 on fourth down). The defense provided every opportunity to win the game, and the Jets capitalized.
