The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Browns still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 7 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team, and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.

The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the Browns going with a duo from the Texas Longhorns. He has them going with Arch Manning with their first pick and Melvin Siani, who is a breakout offensive tackle for them in 2026.

Baumgardner explains the Siani pick, writing, “The 6-6, 315-pound Wake Forest transfer has experience at right and left tackle, and he has been very sturdy on the right side opposite Goosby this season. Siani, a Canadian-born player with great length and natural size, is an ascending talent.”

The Browns taking another offensive tackle may seem odd, but the Tytus Howard project is interesting. He wouldn’t need to start right away, they can roll with Howard one more year and see what the case is, and go from there. At the very least, they have a very valuable piece to back up their tackles when the offensive line play is more important than ever.
