Braelon Allen’s 22-yard touchdown run with 3:01 remaining in the fourth quarter put the New York Jets ahead of the Cleveland Browns in an eventual 17-12 win.

Allen’s rush was the longest of his career, five games into his third NFL season. The score was also the first rushing TD that Cleveland’s defense has allowed this season.

The Jets were in position for the go-ahead score after Browns punter Corey Bojorquez fumbled a snap on a punt attempt from their 42-yard line amid rainy conditions in New Jersey. The 19-yard loss gave the Jets the ball at the Cleveland 23, putting them in field goal position following the turnover.

Bojorquez’s fumble came after the Browns failed to capitalize on an opportunity to add to a 2-point lead when Carson Schwesinger sacked Jets quarterback Geno Smith and caused a fumble. Adin Huntington recovered for Cleveland at the New York 48-yard line. But the Browns went three-and-out with Deshaun Watson throwing two incomplete passes, leading to the pivotal punt attempt.

Watson’s 29-yard TD pass to Denzel Boston with 6:15 remaining in the fourth quarter put the Browns ahead of the New York Jets, 12-10. But Andre Szymt missed the extra-point kick, giving the Jets an opening to win with a field goal.

Cleveland Browns receiver KC Concepcion left Sunday’s Week 5 matchup with the New York Jets in the first quarter after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

During the Browns’ second possession, on first-and-10 from the Jets’ 25-yard line, quarterback Deshaun Watson looked deep down the left sideline for Concepcion, who broke past cornerback Brandon Stephens.

Concepcion appeared to make the catch at the 9-yard line, but was leveled by Fitzpatrick and stayed on the ground. However, the hit quickly drew two flags from the officials, who penalized Fitzpatrick for unnecessary roughness.

Closer angles on the play showed that the rookie receiver may have been knocked out with his eyes rolling back. His head hit the MetLife Stadium turf, causing his neck to bend forward awkwardly.

Concepcion was on the turf for several minutes before being helped to his feet by Browns trainers. He immediately went to the locker room for evaluation and was soon ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Coming into Week 5, Concepcion was tied for the team lead with 17 receptions and was second with 144 yards. He left Sunday’s game with 1 catch for 5 yards.
