The Chicago Bears got a shocking win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 thanks to veteran quarterback Case Keenum, who was only getting the start after injuries to both Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent.

A week later, the team turned things over to Bagent. It was a controversial decision after Keenum’s big game against the Eagles, in which he threw two passing touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown in the 27-7 win. But Bears head coach Ben Johnson ultimately put his faith in Bagent, who operated as the team’s No. 2 quarterback the entire offseason.

It worked out in Week 4, as Bagent led the Bears to a victory over the New York Jets in Week 4. His numbers weren’t impressive, but he did enough to earn another start in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers.

But he didn’t finish the game. Bagent was pulled in the fourth quarter in favor of Keenum, who took over with the team trailing 31-7. At the time he was pulled, Bagent had gone 12 of 21 for 87 yards and tossed two interceptions.

Following a tremendous kick return by rookie Zavion Thomas, Keenum took over with excellent field position. He managed to lead the Bears all the way down into the red zone before throwing an interception on a desperation fourth-down pass.
