Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has emerged as one of the most reliable assets in the NFL, but he remains quick to deflect individual praise toward his teammates. As he continues to navigate a historic start to his professional career, the specialist maintains that his consistent performance is a direct result of the collective effort surrounding him on the field. The kicker noted that his success is not a solo endeavor, but rather a reflection of the trust he shares with his long snapper and holder, “I have confidence in everything around me,” according to The Dallas Morning News.
The transition from a career in professional soccer to the NFL has been seamless for the former software engineer, who has quickly established himself as a premier option for the Cowboys. Despite the high-pressure environment of professional football, Aubrey suggests that his mindset remains focused on the mechanics of the game rather than the external expectations placed upon him by fans and analysts. He credits the stability of the team’s special teams unit for allowing him to focus entirely on his technique during critical moments in games, per the outlets reported.
Throughout the current season, the kicker has demonstrated remarkable range and accuracy, often serving as the primary source of points for the Dallas offense. His ability to remain composed in high-leverage situations has earned him praise from coaches and teammates alike. However, Aubrey remains grounded, emphasizing that the rhythm developed with his teammates is the foundation of his production. He explained that the seamless execution of each kick is made possible by the unwavering reliability of the operation, “It makes my job easy,” the kicker stated, as reported by The Dallas Morning News. As the team moves through the remainder of the season, Aubrey appears poised to continue his trajectory, provided the chemistry within the special teams unit remains consistent.
