India T20I captain Shreyas Iyer has climbed three places to a career-best fourth in the latest ICC T20 International rankings for batters after his strong start to the ongoing five-match home series against the West Indies.

Iyer scored his maiden T20I century in the series opener in Lucknow. His rise to fourth place means India now have three players among the top four, with Ishan Kishan at the top and Abhishek Sharma in second place. Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan sits between them in third after reaching a career-best rating following his performances against Sri Lanka, the ICC said in a press release.

Among other batters, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis moved up three places to 23rd, while West Indies’ Sherfane Rutherford climbed 13 spots to joint 24th. India’s Sanju Samson rose four places to joint 27th.

Pakistan youngster Maaz Sadaqat made a significant jump, moving from outside the top 100 to 45th after his performances in the three-match series against Sri Lanka.

West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase also made progress in the T20I rankings. He climbed 24 places to 23rd among bowlers and moved up two spots to third among all-rounders following his performances against India.

Pakistan’s Salman Mirza rose nine places to 14th in the T20I bowling rankings, while Saim Ayub gained eight spots to reach 54th.

In the Test rankings, India’s Ravindra Jadeja continued to hold a clear lead among all-rounders. South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder moved up one place to fourth, while Simon Harmer climbed five spots to joint 23rd after their performances against Australia.

Australia’s 214-run win over South Africa in the first Test at Kingsmead in Durban also led to gains for several players in the latest ICC Test rankings. Australia won the opening match of the three-Test series, with Matthew Renshaw earning Player of the Match honours.

Renshaw scored 190 in the first innings and followed it up with 82 in the second. His performances lifted the left-hander from outside the top 100 to joint 49th in the Test batting rankings.

His teammate Marnus Labuschagne, a former world No. 1 Test batter, climbed four places to 34th. South Africa opener Aiden Markram also gained four spots to move into joint 10th position.
