Kristaps Porzingis has broken the silence around his ongoing absence from the Warriors, as Golden State announced in a statement Wednesday afternoon that the center will remain out indefinitely.

The 7-foot-2 center took to X to provide an update on his recovery, saying he’s “working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health asap.”

“Honestly, I’m getting better and better,” Porzingis posted. “I just have to stay patient, and I believe I’ll be feeling great again soon.

“It has definitely been frustrating dealing with some health stuff that you can’t exactly pinpoint, on top of injuries throughout my career, so it has added up for sure, but we will get through it.”

In a reply to that original tweet, Porzingis took aim at the widespread confusion and speculation around his health.

“I appreciate all the internet doctors trying to diagnose and help, but I’m in the best hands,” Porzingis wrote. “So everyone can relax now… and I don’t have hiv or aids.”

A source with knowledge of the situation told the Chronicle that Porzingis has made a trip to Los Angeles to seek specialized medical advice for his health.

On Tuesday, Porzingis was at Chase Center for the first time since Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy announced Sep. 28 that he’d be out indefinitely with health issues. Porzingis met with Dunleavy and Golden State’s vice president of player health Rick Celebrini.

The Warriors said in a statement Wednesday that Porzingis “will be around the team,” but didn’t offer any update on his status or timeline for return.

This is a breaking story. Check back for updates.
