Verstappen Is Finding His Winning Form Again
Max Verstappen is reminding the Formula 1 world why he is a four time world champion. After a difficult stretch earlier in the 2026 season, the Red Bull driver has put together back to back Grand Prix victories, winning in Bahrain and Singapore to bring himself back into the spotlight.
Verstappen’s latest triumph came Sunday at the Singapore Grand Prix, where he controlled the race from pole position and secured his first-ever victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The win was especially impressive because Singapore is one of the most demanding races on the calendar, with its tight corners, hot conditions and limited opportunities to overtake.
The Dutchman handled the pressure and held off Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to take the checkered flag. The victory also marked his 73rd career Formula 1 Grand Prix win and came during his 250th Grand Prix start.
Red Bull Is Starting to Look Dangerous
Verstappen’s recent success is not happening by accident. Red Bull has made progress with its car, and recent upgrades have helped the team become more competitive.

After claiming his first victory of the season in Bahrain, Verstappen followed it up with another strong weekend in Singapore. He won the Sprint, took pole position for Sunday’s Grand Prix and then converted that opportunity into another victory.
That kind of consistency is exactly what Red Bull needed after struggling to match its rivals earlier in the year. Verstappen has continued to maximize his opportunities, showing that he remains one of the most dangerous drivers whenever his car gives him a chance to compete at the front.
Can Verstappen Make a Championship Comeback?
Although Verstappen is back to winning races, the championship battle remains difficult. Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli has built a significant advantage in the standings, and the young Italian is closing in on his first world championship.
Still, Verstappen’s recent form has changed the conversation. With multiple races remaining, Red Bull has reasons to believe it can continue challenging the leading teams.
Verstappen will need more strong results and some help from the championship battle ahead of him if he hopes to mount a serious title challenge. Even so, his latest performances demonstrate that he should never be counted out.
Formula 1 Has Been Put on Notice
Verstappen’s comeback is one of the biggest stories in Formula 1 right now. Two consecutive victories have restored momentum for the Dutchman and given Red Bull renewed confidence heading into the final stretch of the season.
The championship may still be a long shot, but Verstappen is proving that he can take advantage when the opportunity arrives.
Max Verstappen is back in winning form, and if Red Bull keeps improving, the rest of Formula 1 could have a serious problem on its hands.
