With 34 seconds left after the kickoff return, Atlanta got the ball with a chance to get it in field goal range. After quarterback Michael Penix was stripped sack and the Falcons recovered, Tua Tagovailoa had to come into the game and threw a 14-yard pass to running back Bijan Robinson. Penix returned the next play.
Penix returned on third and six near midfield, but he was forced to throw it out of bounds with seven sacks left in the game. After Atlanta’s punt, time ran out in regulation and the game was going to overtime.
