Pittsburgh Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth hauled in five of his seven targets for 44 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. He also added a yard rushing on his only carry.
Why It Matters: Freiermuth ended up being a bigger part of the Pittsburgh offense than he probably bargained for, as the Steelers’ hand was forced to use 12 personnel more often once Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek were lost for the game. Encouragingly, Freiermuth’s seven targets are a season high. It would be a bit premature to move him into must-start territory (as long as Pittsburgh is short on receivers), but he is definitely a viable streamer in Week 6 against a Tampa Bay defense that has already surrendered three touchdowns to tight ends.
