First-year head coach Bob Chesney has gotten plenty of support throughout his debut season with the UCLA Bruins in 2026. That continued this week ahead of Chesney’s biggest game as a Bruin, with UCLA facing No. 13 Oregon for a chance to stay undefeated on the season.

On Friday night, legendary rapper 50 Cent took to his Instagram page to voice some support for Chesney and the Bruins.

“I’m going with UCL, Oregon is good but they ain’t beating UCLA by 12.” 50 Cent’s caption read.

50 Cent posted a screenshot of an article from heavy.com by writer Lorenzo Reyna, who detailed how Chesney used the track ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ by 50 Cent as motivational music. Chesney is far from alone, with the song being one of the biggest pump-up songs of the 21st century.

While many men (or other Big Ten programs) might not yet be wishing death on Chesney or the UCLA program, a win Saturday might change that, as the Bruins have a chance to prove that they’re a real threat in the Big Ten.

50 Cent, born as Curtis Jackson, had a knack for creating dramatic hip-hop tracks that have fueled generations of athletes. 23-years after the song was released, Chesney is still giving it some spins. 50 Cent seemed to appreciate it, taking it to social media to voice his belief in the Bruins to at least cover the spread in Week 6 against Oregon.
