The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived linebacker Jack Kiser ahead of Sunday’s Week 5 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kiser was a fourth-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL draft.

Kiser filled a special-teams-heavy role as a rookie. He was injured on the first day of training camp this summer and remained sidelined.

During roster cutdowns, he was released and signed to the practice squad. On Sept. 16, he was signed to the 53-man roster, but he has not appeared in a game.

The Jaguars released Kiser to make room for Jalen McLeod, who was signed to the active roster. McLeod was out of practice squad elevations after appearing in the last three games, where he was a core special teams contributor.

The Jaguars also announced that they are elevating safety Kaevon Merriweather. He will boost the safety depth with Eric Murray doubtful. Cornerback Jabbar Muhammad was elevated as well, with Jaylon Jones ruled out

This is the second time that Muhammad has been elevated.
