The Colorado State football team has some time to work to get back on track.

The Rams lost their 2026 Pac-12 opener 56-26 on Oct. 3 on CSU’s homecoming game in front of a record crowd.

What’s next for CSU? Here’s what you need to know about Colorado State and its schedule for Week 6 of the 2026 college football season.

Does Colorado State play today?

Following a dramatic loss to Oregon State that ended with defensive coordinator Tyson Summers being dismissed from the program, the Rams are off in Week 6 of the college football season.

CSU is allowing 52 points per game over its last three contests, including back-to-back weeks allowing more than 50. It’s the first time since 1984 for a CSU team to allow back-to-back 50-point games.

The week off is CSU’s lone bye of 2026, but the Rams do have another longer break between their sixth and seventh games due to playing a Thursday game in Week 7.

That Thursday contests comes off the bye week as the Rams head to play at Texas State on Oct. 15 for the second Pac-12 game for each squad. Texas State is also on a bye week and the game against the Rams will be the first Pac-12 home game for the Bobcats.
