PSL 2027 start date and tournament window

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will return for the 12th edition in 2027, with the competition being held from Thursday, March 18, 2027, to May 2, and lasting for over six weeks.

The dates have been agreed upon by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after meetings with the owners of the eight franchises at the PSL Governing Council held in London on September 1.

This year’s campaign will again see eight franchises take part in the competition, with the league expanding its scope in 2026 by bringing in Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz into the league.

The PCB also confirmed that preparations for the new season will include direct signings, player retentions, the trade window and the player auction.

Who are the defending PSL champions?

This was also the first edition of the PSL to adopt a player auction instead of the old draft method.
