University of Houston linebacker Jaden Yates has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Kansas State.
Yates was among eight UH players listed on Wednesday’s Big 12 availability report. Yates, whose 29 tackles are tied with safety Kentrell Webb for the team lead, suffered an apparent leg injury against UCF.
Also ruled out are running back John Hebert, wide receiver Muizz Tounkara and linebacker Bryson Castile.
Hebert suffered a season-ending left leg injury while covering a kickoff late in Saturday’s 27-17 win. Tounkara aggravated his left foot injury in Tuesday’s practice and was wearing a protective boot.
Offensive lineman RJ Lee and tight end Jacory Thurman were listed as questionable.
Defensive back JD Rhym and defensive lineman Ejiro Egodogbare are listed as probable.
