Aaron Rodgers' brother calls out the Steelers' biggest problem

After a 2-2 start filled with offensive blunders, the Pittsburgh Steelers received some fair criticism about their biggest issue from the unlikeliest of people: Aaron Rodgers’ brother.

On a recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, Aaron Rodgers‘ brother, Jordan Rodgers, blamed the Steelers’ offensive struggles on the wide receivers, other than DK Metcalf, failing to make an impact on the field.

“Here’s the reality, one of the main issues wasn’t fixed from last year,” Jordan Rodgers said. “They don’t really have a number two that scares people. And so they’re getting more covers than anybody the NFL because they go, ‘We’re gonna man up, help with DK. We’re not worried about anybody else.’ Do they look to add somebody?”

It’s not as if the Steelers didn’t try to fix last year’s WR2 issue. Pittsburgh traded for 5,000-yard veteran wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and acquired standout Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, Pittman has been battling a foot injury that’s likely keeping him from playing at 100% and may ultimately be why he’s struggling to find separation. Oh, and Aaron Rodgers has been historically reluctant to lean on rookie contributors, which is probably why Bernard, barring a few key catches, has been a non-factor through the first four games of the season.

Hopefully, Jordan Rodgers is right about his assessment that the Steelers could potentially look to add another wide receiver to the mix. But if the Steelers don’t stack a few wins together soon, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were sellers rather than buyers at the trade deadline next month.
