The Dallas Cowboys secured a huge comeback win against the Houston Texans on Sunday and Skip Bayless has high praise for one of the team’s offensive stars.
It has been an eventful start to the 2026-27 NFL season for the Dallas Cowboys, to say the least. They secured a huge win against the Houston Texans on Sunday to reach a 2-2 record to start the year. It was a crucial victory as Dallas tries to prove they have what it takes to win it all this season.
Trailing 16-6 at the half, the Cowboys posted a whopping 28 points in the second. Even in the final minutes of the game, the Texans had regained a 30-27 lead. However, Dak Prescott linked up with his star receiver CeeDee Lamb, to get the game-winning TD. And Lamb’s performance earned him some love from one of sports media’s harshest critics.
Skip Bayless showed love to ‘unreal’ CeeDee Lamb for huge performance against elite Texans secondary
The Houston Texans have a secondary that most media outlets and NFL analysts rank quite highly. Derek Stingley Jr. and Kamari Lassiter are both considered elite, with safety Jalen Pitre also a huge factor. None of this stopped CeeDee, who absolutely went off in the game.
The star receiver delivered a career-best performance against the Texans, catching 17 passes for 189 yards and the game-winning touchdown. He took over after halftime, catching 11 passes for 140 yards in the second half alone to complete Dallas’ comeback. This led to a shoutout from Skip Bayless.
“Unreal: CeeDee took this game over. 17 catches for 189 yards. Cannot be covered, even by two of the NFL’s best corners,” Bayless wrote in all caps on X after the game. As a known fan of the Cowboys, this must have been a joy to watch for the veteran sportscaster.
As is often the case, it is hard to understand exactly what kind of team the Cowboys are. As long as they have CeeDee Lamb, though, everything seems possible. Now it is simply a question of what the defense can become over the course of the season.
