A second Hull City player has rolled his car near the Premier League club’s training facility, just weeks after Sorba Thomas was involved in a comparable incident.
The Welsh winger was caught up in an accident when his Land Rover Defender overturned along Millhouse Woods Lane. Two additional vehicles sustained damage in that crash, though Thomas walked away unharmed.
Now, according to Hull Live, teammate Lucas Gourna-Douath has also managed to flip his car along the same stretch of road.

Photos surfaced on social media showing the Mercedes-Benz resting on its side, with summer recruit Gourna-Douath understood to have been behind the wheel. He too escaped without injury.
A club statement released Thursday afternoon confirmed via The Mirror: “Hull City is aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near the club’s training ground and can confirm that no one was harmed in the incident.”
Millhouse Woods Lane is an extremely narrow road that provides access to the club’s training complex. Concerns have previously been raised regarding the speed at which certain vehicles travel along the narrow street.
Local councillor Phil Redshaw visited the site of Thomas’ crash last month and told The Mirror that there had been “a few near misses” recently down the road in Cottingham, a suburb of Hull.
He added: “I wrote to the Hull City club secretary on Sunday asking them to remind players to be careful driving down the road because of the residents’ concerns. I wanted them to remind their staff to drive with extra care, because they get new players in every season.”

A statement from Hull following Thomas’ initial crash read: “Hull City is relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed following a road traffic accident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.
“The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”
Both Thomas and Gourna-Douath joined Hull over the summer on the back of the club’s promotion to the Premier League, and the pair have helped the Tigers get off to a strong start to the campaign.
Sergej Jakiroviฤ’s club currently sits eighth heading into the first international break of the season, having dropped points just once in their opening five fixtures โ that setback coming against Newcastle United in their most recent match.
Hull return to action in ten days’ time when they host Everton at the MKM Stadium, before making the trip to Fulham in mid-October.
